Spirit of New Zealand is a beautiful, beautiful experience and everyone should go on it. May, may not, probably won't, post more about it later. But yeah, a beautiful ship, 51 AMAZING people, and smexy yellow wet weather gear. Life doesn't get much better. Except for when you climb to THE VERY TOP of a 30+ metre mast (v. terrifying, v. awesome). And then loling when my mate from sailing course in January (literally sqee-ed upon discovery that he was on my voyage) dropped his $600 camera from the top. R.I.P.
And ONE guy, playing Goodshirt's Sophie a few too many times, leading to the song being stuck in EVERYONES heads. Which pretty much means that whenever I hear it, it's all happy and yay Spirit, and aw I really miss it.
M for creative writing. FREAKING M. Words can't describe how disappointed I am in myself. Things this year that have had me fighting back tears at school - 2. And yes, I know, M's pretty good, but URGH. Not cool. Thanks a lot, expectations and false hopes.
But Ms Waldren wants me to enter the Liberate Your Words competition. Poetry. Poetry?! wtf. I'm pretty sure I swore off trying to write poems after 2006 (no, that doesn't include the emo poetry competitions Faye and I have. Those are for the funsies/lols). But Urgh. Creativity does not like me. It's forcing me to come up with ideas for poems WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO. Problem being that whenever this happens (it's not usually poetry - more songs, stories...) and I TRY to turn the idea into something it falls apart because I over think it, over work it, try to change too much. So Grace is not a happy camper at all, and is losing faith.
Lawl, just got it (well... about an hour ago...) from having dinner (I lie, it was dessert, really) at Strawberry Fare with Faye and Marzie. So much richness/sugar/fun times.
Michael comes over tomorrow. XD yayness!

Apparently we have one of those John Key squeaky toy things, which Charlie (one of our dogs) just brought inside. And to quote my mother: "Oh, you've got Mr Keys head there have you? Good, give him a chew."

So, I was in Auckland for a week long sailing course which was uber fun! but coming home absolutely sucks especially when there are exam results waiting for you. But hey, and this is actually the most shocking thing in my LIFE, more shocking then turtling the boat (we were trying to do a capsize drill, turtling is when it turns 180) I got two excellences and a merit for my english essays.

On a lighter note, had fun times in P-town today seeing Twilight with Chris. And we have so much stuff left over from Christmas that if anyone's hungry ever any time just randomly appear and help yourself XD

Today is World Hello day. You're supposed to say hello to at least ten people, so... Hello, everyone. : )
Ukulele = my new best instrument ever. Courtesy of the Wellington Internation Ukulele Orchestra who are not only stopping me from getting my stuff ready for choir, are also making me terribly, incredibly depressed, because when I finally have a free first thursday of the month morning they cancel their first thursday of the month morning gigs at the Deluxe cafe. Words can not explain how frustrating/depressing/upsetting this is. Because now a large amount of their gig will either be not in Wellington or at a bar or someplace where you have to be old : (
Urgh. My mum really wants me to do the Irish Essay competition. And I really want to do it. The problem is that I don't have a way with words. And to anyone who says "blahblahblahcreativewritingblahblah"

So, there I was, yesterday having just got in from celebration of music (ba-dum doot doot doot doot dooooooot, anyone?) and I get chucked this envelope with Leading Cadet (my sah-weet rank) Grace Stewart on it. So, kind of thinking wtf because why would I be getting a cadety letter? Then, opening it, and I've won the essay writey thing to get free passage on Spirit of Adventure. And NCEA says that I sometimes can't write essays.

Sailing in fun enough when you're in waves that get to about two metres high.
It's funner when you get an amazing surf that goes for ages.
It's just the best when you capsize... THREE TIMES IN A ROW.

Oh, and Caryl, if you're still alive this conversation took place in my form room on Tuesday.
Girl in my form class: Grace, are you on youtube?
Me (thinking of the Kinky Kitchenware video which thankfully I'm not seen in): Ummm... no...
Her: With some guy? And you're acting?
Me: No...
Her: And there's a phone and this filipino girl...?
Me: OH CRAP, THAT *melts*
People who know me are finding this video! Ngaaa. Oh well. It's for the greater Caryl cause.
On a less painful note, I got my ears repierced today. So now everything is ready for the semi-formal!

You know what's sad? When I got home today the car door closed on my bag and punctured a hole in one of the cans of lift.
Yay, no more mocks. Urgh RE assignment. :)
